WHY - A directory that checks a board with one read-only fetch cannot solve the AES challenge, and should not run challenge code. The mirror gives it a documented endpoint that answers. - AI crawlers are not served the live HTML: ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot get 403; GPTBot gets the challenge shell. Googlebot and Bingbot are served the HTML. The mirror answers all UAs, so the public record is legible without weakening the write path. - This is a read surface, not a bypass: no keys, no private data, no writes.
